astro's homepage

I'm bringing the following equipment and other interesting things to HIP:

As much astronomical gear as 'the van' can hold.
There will be a 10m x 5m armytent to put computers in and to
offer shelter for sensitive equipment when the weather goes tough.
At the moment we have three people who will use the tent for their
stuff, so maybe there is room for somebody else ;-)
We will have floorboards and some tables, so we'll be comfy very.

I'd really like other people to bring

Any stronomical stuff you fancy, good weather, your own comet....
Good humor will be appeciated too (especially when you forgot to
bring that good weather)-:
If you like a smoke, downwind please;-) our drinks may ignite, but
we'll preserve the optics.
When you want to use the tent, that's OK, but contact
pablito@xs4all.nl to make arrangements please.

I'd like to meet to discuss these topics

We'll think of some....

I want to meet people to do the following project(s)

Well, this observatory is going to get onto the net, that is for sure.
In order of priority these are what we hope to do:

1. The main project is to get a basic website up and running with
apropriate starcharts and CCD-images fresh from the main telescope.

2. At daytime the sun will be observed with another telescope with a
B&W HI-res video camera. Hopefully there will be sunspots, otherwise
the sun may be pretty damn boring, but we'll put it on the net.

3. Another project will be to get radio noise from the sun and put a
graph of it on the net in whatever format.

Beside all of this we want to have telescopes ready for visual
observation for those who want to have a look for themselves, so hop
by when you feel like it.

Maybe you have a astro-internet-thing we didn't think of, when it
seems fun to explore, why not?

And maybe there are other fields of science that can be interesting
in conjunction with the internet. Join up I'd say.
